Aaron,
While I completely agree with your viewpoint on the actual purchase of housing or condo's in Calgary; the article seemed specifically more focused on the lack of affortable rental units.
This is something I'm familiar with because my co-workers are in the 21 - 25 year old range and I'm constantly being tapped to help them move when their landlord decides that $1100 a month is not enough for a one bedroom rental.
I wouldn't be surprised to see rent control in Calgary over the next 12 months as rental prices spiral out of control.
