Calgary's mentality changes for the worse.

Calgary Herald Q

Wow using Calgary as a metaphor for a whole generation - that might be a bit of a stretch. More to the point our generation has already been shown to take on more debt than any generation before it. As for gas prices and growing pains - gas prices in general are on the rise which mostly fluctuates as a result of national and North American demand which is on the rise coupled with that fire at the Ontario refinery (minimal effect). Wee little towns out east have their problems too because of transport costs and always pay more than us. Vancouver has higher prices, Ontario has higher prices - hell Saskatchewan has higher prices!

As for what we all want, well that's up to the individual. Not everyone has student debt or huge car loans. Mortgages? Hell in Europe they can last 100 years.

And if parking on a friday night at Chinook Center has you down, take the c-train.

I think the point of this article is that Calgary is not trying to appease everyone, just the rich. And I couldn't agree more.

That's why I'm suprised they didn't pass the $21 recycling fee, since when do the poor have voices in this city?

Who knew?

Let me guess what field of work Aaron is in.....
