Dear Rosie,

Also on the Calgary Herald Q

Dear Rosie,

I, along with many other people, flocked to You Tube after hearing about your heated debate with the lovely and innocent Survivor winner, Elizabeth Hasselback, on Wednesday’s episode of The View. It’s not unusual that you and Elizabeth take digs at each other during each show. But yesterday, it took the cake.

If you don’t mind, I have a couple things to comment on.

I think your time is up. It is time for you and your loud mouth to move on to something else, like, some B-List comedy club. You’re washed up, rude, annoying and full of so much bogus and selfish information, it makes my head spin.

What makes you think everything you say is so much more important than anyone else? Yah, that’s right. It totally isn’t. You just think it is – which is why you need to leave The View earlier than June when your contract is officially up.

The show, The View, you know, the one you signed on for, for a year? It’s called The View because the respective hosts discuss, not berate, each others views. Maybe you should play a little nicer in the sandbox.

You have no problem calling people racists, homophobes, sexist or terrorists but you’ll be dammed if anyone comes up against you with a seemingly harmless comment.

It’s a good thing ABC didn’t renew your contract. You’re not worth the $30 million you were asking for. I couldn’t even believe you thought you were owed it in the first place.

Hopefully ABC hires someone great to replace you. It shouldn’t be hard, I mean, anyone with any common sense, dignity and respect for others would fill the shoes just fine. And hopefully, they’ll hire someone who can defend their views, their thoughts and their actions with someone other than you who instead of acting like an adult, goes in for the lowblow and disses hair pieces.

C’mon. Who are you kidding? You’re done. Done like dinner.

Signed,

Megan

Elizabeth, like it or not, represents the perspective of many Americans. I don't think she is rude or anything. In fact, she's often cornered by all the other women. In this particular episode, nobody is really on her side.I don't agree with her philosophy, but for a program to be balanced, it should include not just anti-Bush sentiments.

You're a fine one to talk about anyone else being a loudmouth. I really detest people that don't like others to be able to express their opinion without calling them names and belittling them.
