Goddamn 8 glasses of water a day...

No one said anything about retaining all the 8 glasses of water a day we drink. Is there a boat I missed? This is dumb. I feel like a fucking blimp.

I'm sitting here on the floor with my 9th glass of water today, watching Canada's Next Top Model waiting for my brother to come by with my brand new bike. Ok, it's new to me. I bought my bros old bike (as he replaced it with a bike which costs similar to my car) and he was suppose to fix it up a bit and bring it over. Horrah! Something to do! A bike!

I began running the other day and thought I was going to die. I actually felt my body yelling and screaming at me saying "what the fuck are you doing?! we don't do this!!!!!" I need to lose about 20 lbs I figure in order for me to fit into some clothes of mine which I love but don't fit into. Sigh. I'm blaming it on the water.

The incredible Magic Bullet.

At first I was wondering why something with that name was in the kitchen, but then I drank what it made and holy crap - I gotta get me one of these.

It's too bad it's so expensive...

This whole situation just isn't kosher.

The FOCS does their best to prevent these sorts of things.

Calgary Herald Q

All about The Da Vinci Code.

Now this is just ridiculous.

Seriously. The National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation? Well, they're pissed about the Da Vinci Code too.

Good God people. It's a fictional book made into a fictional movie.

"Where's Megan?". Have no fret - I'm right here.

I have opened quite a few new posts, excited to jot something down but then end up closing the draft, only to leave it at just that - a draft. I have become incredibly critical of my work and am beginning not to like anything I'm writing. I should just lay off myself.

So here are a few things which have gone on this month:

I moved in with my bf. Ahhhh! Heh heh - sucka. I've already been told that I am a horrible person to share a bed with because I take up all the covers. I suggested bunk-beds. He just gave me his famous cocked eyebrow.

Feeling a little sad being in the city. The week by the ocean was dreamy - quarrels and all. Not sure if it's because I'm living down on 17th now and am tired of bums asking me for change whenever I leave the condo (hi, seriously- everywhere is hiring and when I mean everywhere, I mean everywhere) or if it's the sound of the cars which are lacking mufflers, or if it's just being in this gong show of a city. I need to figure out a way to live in a cute little beach house on Chesterman Beach. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to them.

I received a letter from Visa this week informing me that because I am one of their most valued customers, they were going to increase my limit by almost double. Most valued customer? Ha. Maybe because I can allow each one of them to drive fancy BMW's with all the interest I pay to them.

My brother got a job picking up bodies (yes, dead bodies) from crime scenes and actually seems to be enjoying it. I've just heard some of the stories of his trips and I've felt ill, yet intrigued. Most of the scenes he said have been pretty disturbing - rightfully so.

I'll try to do better people. It's just that - whatever. I have no excuses. I have to beat Ben Li - this is getting serious.

Calgary Herald Q.

A short, simple and to the point piece about human stupidity and bears.

Bill to make sex toys illegal.

Because there isn't anything else going on in the world, this needs to become priority.

Eagle Eye Cam

In case you've been living under a rock, or you just don't read the west coast news, there is a little eaglet which is suppose to be born pretty much any minute now. Although, the "experts" say that the 17 year old eagle parents might not be fertile enough to produce a living creature in the egg and therefore, it might be dead/not anything.

The webcam is 40 feet away from the eagle but you can see the feathers ruffle and hear him/her when they make little eagle noises. Here is the link for your viewing pleasure.

Grizzly bear kills man in Yukon. Man kills Grizzly bears in return.

Grizzly bear kills man in Yukon

A grizzly bear attacked and killed a 28-year-old man on Friday as he worked in the bush north of Whitehorse, police say. Jean-Francois Page was killed about 30 kilometres east of Ross River, where he was flagging for a mining company.

Page originally from Quebec, was marking mineral claims with two other men when he failed to return to their work camp. The men reported Page missing to a helicopter pilot, who notified police. A helicopter search located his body.

RCMP say Page was apparently attacked after coming within five metres of a bear den that contained two cubs. They believe the sow probably attacked Page to protect its young, and say the man was likely killed instantly.

The mother bear and cubs were killed at the scene by RCMP and conservation officers.

Ross River, located about 198 kilometres northeast of Whitehorse, has been a hotspot for mining exploration in recent years.

The last confirmed fatal human-grizzly encounter in the Yukon was in 1996, when a woman was killed while hiking in Kluane National Park. In June 2005, a grizzly bear killed a Quebec woman near Canmore, Alta.

Random cool snaps from Tofino.

Our first day in the water - we're looking all hot and stuff in our skin tight HOT HOT HOT wet suits. Oh yah - we were looking ffffiiiinnnnneeee.

Scott taking in a little skim-board action on Chesterman Beach. He actually got pretty good at it - fell only a couple times. He was better at that then I was on my 8'3 surf board.

Of course, it wasn't nice everyday. We only had sun 2 days while we were there. Our first day, and last day. It didn't rain like it did last November, but enough that I was pretty wet and ready for a hot shower. MMmmm hot shower...

And naturally, we had to play with some sea anenomes. They're fun little buggers; you can put things in them and they close up and eat them. Ok, so I found it entertaining...

Schooner Cove - what a fantastically beautiful place to do nothing. I could have laid on the beach for hours, if not days, just doing nothing. The sky was blue, the waves were crashing, bald eagles soared over us. Wow. I need to go back.

... continued

It was called Old Growth Forest and we had to take the only 11km bumpy as all hell trek back into the forest to find this place. All we had were a couple rough directions and each other - but we came across this beautiful old forest - one which will soon be eliminated due to the logging in the area. I almost decided to become an activisit, and tie myself to this tree. Love it. It's sad to know that it will become a table in a couple years.

Found a cute little tree swing after climbing the paths to Kennedy Lake. On the way back to the main highway, a cute squishy little black bear crossed the road. However, on the way home passing through Rogers Pass, we saw an adult bear who had been hit by a vehicle and laying in the fetal position on the highway. I was trying to think positive thoughts thinking: "He'll get up, shake it off and walk home to his family reminding the kids of the important lesson he learned that day - Don't forget to look both ways before crossing the street".

Sunsets were the reason to live and that became very clear, very quickly. This is Chesterman Beach at sunset.

And of course, we had our token picture taken oh - about everywhere we went.

Desperately trying to fit my body into a wetsuit so I could enjoy my 4 days of surfing.

And of course, all good things must come to an end. Going home on the ferry...

Snaps of the downed WW2 plane we hiked back to see.

It was a muddy trip in...

The engine.

Bryan standing under one of the wings.

The plane from the back.

The front of the plane.

And me standing right next to the plane.
